You are blocked on Snapchat by someone?: Snapchat is one of the most popular messaging apps out there. However, today we will focus on a single Snapchat issue that affects many users. Snapchat has a privacy feature that allows users to block anyone. However, there are times when you want to know if someone has blocked you or not. So, if you do not get a snap from a particular person, it is a good idea to check whether he/she has blocked you. Here are three ways to find out if someone has blocked you from Snapchat.
Find out if anyone has blocked you on Snapchat (You’re blocked on Snapchat )(2020)
- Check your Snapchat contact list
The first thing you need to do to find out if someone has blocked you is by checking your Snapchat contact list. If you do not see the specific contact listed in Snapchat, you may be blocked. Also, if the persons uploads stories regularly, go ahead and check the Stories tab for any stories from the person. If there are no stories from the contact, this is another confirmation that you have been blocked.
You can check your contact list by tapping the “New Chat” button in the upper right corner of the chat screen.
- Search for username
The next way is to try to search by the person’s username or full name. You can do so by going to the camera viewfinder screen and pressing the search button. Try searching for a username, if you cannot find someone with a username, you may be blocked. If recently blocked, you can see the username, but when you press the Add button, a message may appear “Sorry! Couldn’t find username”.
- Try to send the message
One more way you can find if you have been blocked is by sending message to the contact. If you feel blocked, if they are already on your chat list, you can try sending them a message. If you are really blocked, your message will not be sent and you will receive a message saying “Failed to send – tap to try again”.
Bonus Method: Ask your friend or create a new Account
There is also a very basic way for checking if you have been blocked, and that is where your mutual friend comes to a rescue. You can ask your mutual friend to check if their Snapchat account is available. If it’s still there, it is clear that you have been blocked.
If you do not want to ask anyone, you can create a second account and do it yourself. By creating an account on Snapchat, you do not have to enter a real email id (only required when you want to verify your account), so you can easily create a secondary account and search by username/full name of the person. If the name is being shown on your secondary account but not in the search results of your main account, which means you are blocked.
